Healthcare

In Mark 5:25-29 it reads "And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague." If we could press through and touch Jesus, we would be made whole. Don't look for the government to save you. Never could a man-made plan have everything in it to satisfy our essential human need. We all need Jesus, the master physician. In Mark chapter 2 it details the story of a man with palsy, being brought up to roof of the house where Jesus was. When Jesus say their faith, He said to the one sick with palsy, thy sins be forgiven thee. Jesus is truly more interested in our soul than our body. He can and will heal our body, but our soul is first priority. This world needs a Divine Healthcare Plan, I call it JESUS!

Growing in Grace

It states in II Peter 3:18 "But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever." I would never expect my new born child to clean up the table after themselves after they have eaten, however I do expect by 12 and 18 year old to. They have grown in the knowledge of the home expectations. Grace is not license to do whatever I want, rather it is there while I am learning about the King. The closer I draw near to Jesus and seek His face, the more I learn of Him and His Kingdom. The bible says to him that knows to do right and does it not, this is sin. I believe we are called to be a peculiar people, distinct, Not self-righteous, but separated from the world. As we get closer to the coming of the Lord, the things of this world should grow strangely dim, compared to the knowledge of his power and love. 2Co 6:17-18 "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty."

Testing your Metal

It says in Philippians 2:13 "For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure." Before the precious metal can be removed from the fire, all of the dross must be removed. The Lord Jesus knows what He is doing with you. Am I letting His will work in me, and allowing His good pleasure to flow through me? Don't despise the trials of fire, God is preparing the metal. All the dross of pride, lust, arrogance, self-will etc... needs to come off. Listen the the voice of the Lord, speaking into your spirit. He has you right were He needs to have you!!

Well done or Medium rare?

Jesus said in the parable of the talents in Mt 25:21 "His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord." Now I like my steak medium rare, however if I wanted it well done, it would have to be left in the fire longer. I think Jesus likes it well done, therefore I must be kept in the fire longer to get to well done. In Ps 66:10 it states, "For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried." Silver is tried in the crucible, under the watchful eye of the silversmith. Jesus allows the fires of life to burn, not to destroy us but to bring us to perfection, well done is what we are aiming for. Don't despise the fire, the Master is preparing it well done, the way He likes it..
