Fragile life

Having been forced by my wife and a good friend to visit the ER following a hard fall, I had to undergo blood work, echo gram and a CT scan. The nursing staff would not allow me to walk to the X-ray dept but rather by wheelchair. From the moment I sat in the chair, the experience was quite humbling. Thinking to myself, I could walk, rather than being relegated to this chair, amazing how walking now seemed such a privilege. For those few short moments sharing the feelings of countless others in hospital settings and physical limitations. It's amazing how many things sometimes we take for granted. It gave me an appreciation for the simple things of life, and an appreciation of how fragile life can be. The problem becomes that me and many others forget those feelings after time, and go back to sometimes the careless process of moving through this blessing of life that the Lord Jesus Christ has given us. Lets work at enjoying and appreciating the simple and special things of this life.

The Heart

The prophet Jeremiah wrote "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" Jer 17:9 Truly God knows our heart, therefore He truly is a merciful God!! Jesus was the Word made flesh. We must strive to be the same. To be like my Father.. Paul cried out, " That I may know Him" When we become intimate with this amazing and Awesome God, He will reveal our hearts and begin the process of change. Something has got to change, it must be me!

Focus

To desire His Anointing! Where your eyes are focused is where you will end up. The Lord won't take you were you don't want to go. If you want to get there, it won't be easy, simple, found at the first request, given to you, but deeply sought after, longed for, a deep desire for more of what God has for you. Keep striving, keep climbing, be not weary in well doing. Check your motives and heart at all times. The right attitude and spirit will go a long way. Consistantly endeavoring to become the Word made flesh. If you fail, get up!! It's finishing this race that matters the most.

Bailout plans

I've had a few bailout plans over the years, most just prolong the inevitable trouble or consequences I initially attempted to avoid. At times I've tried to reorganize my finances, unclutter my life, reset my priorities. All however failed to address the real issue, that real change was needed, lifestyle change, heart change, attitude change. Until I found the master, full=proff, can't loose Bailout plan. Curious to know..... yep you quessed it Jesus Christ!!! He's the One, God incarnate, The Almight God, robed in Flesh, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Might God, Great Counselor, The Lamb of God. He did it, and still doing it. I put on myself at times more than I can bear, but he doesn't. Mt 11:28-30 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Jesus still is in the bailout busines, he created the idea, when man fell into sin. Why, because He loves us, He Loves us, so much. He needed a plan to free His children from the bondage of this world. Tried everything else, why not try Jesus!

Continue

Acts 2:42, And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. We are to continue in this life no matter what comes our way. What we have received in the in-filling of the Holy Ghost, is from the ancient of days, and eternal. The bible says that no man can keep alive his own soul. We are indebted to Christ, we need Him. Without Him we are nothing. In all that you are or attempt to be in this world, continue in Christ.
